Through a process of narrative memos written as an observer of teachers and also as a learner in her first year of doctoral studies, Maria Susan Guarino uses poetry to think about disability, teaching, and learning. Aiming to move beyond representation and more towards just “being,” this poem does not aim to represent one fixed reality or do justice to one “voice,” but rather explores embodied experiences.
